Description
One of three large historical beetle collections of Lower Silesian coleopterists at MNHW, gathered in 20th c. before WWII. It covers primarily Central European fauna of all beetle families, and it has been focused on the area of Silesia. It contains hundreds of voucher specimens for dozens of Polentz’s faunistic publications on Silesian beetles. The collection was unfortunately broken up during WWII and several drawers are missing. In all it counts 39134 exs of 6523 species and subspecies. It is currently databased for GBIF in 78% (30 084 records of 30 531 exs from 4 971 species).
