Description
Within the framework of the OPKK project "Development of the System for Monitoring the Status of Species and Habitat Types" - GROUP 8: "Creation and Development of Monitoring Programs for Freshwater Fish with Capacity Building for Stakeholders in the Monitoring and Reporting System," literature data on the distribution of freshwater fish species were gathered.

Methods
Records are results of the project commissioned by Institute for Environment and Nature, Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, a Croatian GBIF node. Records were structured in the table form and interpreted and entered in the appropriate table format and mapped to DarwinCore. Species identifications are validated by an expert.
