Description
The lichen collection consists lichens and lichenicolous fungi (also some other allied non-lichenised fungi are included). It contains a local collection of specimens from Poland (mostly northern part of the country, including specimens from the Białowieża Forest), but also several samples are from Fennosciandia, Baltic Countires, British Isles and other regions. Specimens from the parts of the world mainly represent the area of South America (mainly Bolivia), but also Australia, Greenland and continental North America and other regions of the world. The main collectors are T. Sulma (mainly pertusarioid lichens, Parmeliaceae, Carpathians collections), M. Kukwa (mostly northern Poland, Białowieża Forest, and Bolivia), A. Kowalewska (mostly corticolous specimens from northern Poland) and W. Fałtynowicz (collections mostly from Northern Poland). Most samples were collected after 1935, with many records made in 20th century in the 30th and 50th made by T. Sulma and 80th made by W. Fałtynowicz . Records from the 90th of 20th century and those made in 21th century are mostly collected by M. Kukwa and A. Kowalewska. UGDA-L posses also c. 1000 specimens distributed in exsiccatae
